Retreat venues in Cancún: choose the right setting
A retreat venue should serve the group’s purpose. Before choosing by the view, decide whether you need accommodation, privacy for sessions or an experience lasting a few hours. Pachamaya designs bespoke gatherings in Cancún and other Riviera Maya venues, with each proposal quoted around the group’s needs.
Overnight retreat or day retreat
A day retreat brings people together without arranging hotel nights. It can suit a local team, a celebration or a workshop. An overnight retreat also requires room allocation, meals, transfers and free time.
A meaningful gathering does not require a long list of practices. Set one main intention and choose activities that support it. Movement, a conversation and time to rest can be easier to enjoy than a schedule without breaks.
Four settings, different needs
Pachamaya Boutique Hotel in downtown Cancún combines rooms, a Studio/Shala, a spa and a restaurant. Selva Maya offers a natural setting with accommodation, a cenote and gathering spaces. The Castle with a cenote is in Playa del Carmen and focuses on daytime events; its two rooms are for facilitators. The seafront space is in Puerto Cancún.

What a quote should cover
Request a written scope covering venue, participant count, duration, facilitation, materials, food and transfers. Separate included activities from optional additions and agree on the weather plan for outdoor gatherings.
For residential groups, confirm room occupancy and dietary needs. For movement sessions, ask about adaptations, practice surfaces and usable space. A venue’s dinner capacity is not necessarily its capacity for a class on mats.
How to start with Pachamaya
Share your goal, approximate dates, group size, duration and indicative budget. That information shapes the venue and programme proposal, followed by an agreed scope and quote.
Experiences are bespoke rather than fixed-date retreat departures. If you already have facilitators or a property, mention this from the start so the proposal includes only the support you need.
